How long does a port take?

Simple local ports typically complete in a few business days once the losing carrier validates the request; toll-free and bulk ports are scheduled. We give you a realistic date up front and watch the cutover.

Will texting keep working during a port?

We move the messaging registration with the number and stage routing ahead of the port window so the gap is minimal — usually none.

Can I text-enable a number without moving my phone service?

Yes. Text-enabling only routes SMS/MMS to us; your voice service stays where it is.

What is unauthorized porting and how do you prevent it?

It's when someone moves your number to another carrier without your consent, usually to intercept calls or verification codes. Numbers on our network can be locked so port-outs require verified authorization from you.
